Crime in our front garden last night!

The scene in the morning showing the holes in our garden where the marigolds with their pretty gold flowers had been uprooted.
Leaving empty spaces between the sweet williams.

Who was the culprit?

This is one of the uprooted marigolds.

If the culprit was not after the  marigolds what was this garden criminal doing!

This is a case for the garden gnome crime investigators.

Cherry tomatoes in our garden last year.

These were growing last year on our cherry tomato plant given to us by my sister Celia to grow in our garden. This year we have been given a tomato plant that my colleague Dianne grew in her greenhouse from seeds. Jade has planted it out with some soil in a plant pot. To help it get some nutrition she buried underneath the soil some vegetable waste from our kitchen. Unfortunately we have a squirrel that comes in the night to dig up the tasty smelling food Jade has buried so the poor plant ends up in a heap by the plant pot. It seems to have recovered and Jade hopes to deter it with sticks stuck in the soil around the plant.
